Hi, I am Maren. Yes, Maren- not MURRON.
You are maybe wondering, why I named my studio and my Blog MURRON. The meaning of my name Maren is “ belongs to the sea” ( YEP, definitely!). MURRON is a Gaelic variation of this name and is derived from muir “ Sea” and fionn “ white”. And MURRON was the wife of William Wallace in the movie “ Braveheart”. After seeing this movie in my teenage years, some of my friends started to call me MURRON. And all the years after I thought to myself: whenever I will start my own business, I will name it MURRON. And here we are. You will find out, that “ White” and the “Sea” are playing an important role in my creative and everyday life.
Now I should write things about myself, I know, but I don’t know how to squeeze my life into a few sentences. But I will give it a go.
First in my life always comes my family. My husband Sven, to whom I have been married for almost 20 years. Together we have 5 children (ah, not children any more- teenagers) between 10 and 18 years old. They add so much to our lives- every day! They are our heart- forever!
Oh gosh, and then it begins. What second? After being a midwife for 17 years in Germany I decided to follow my dream to become an interior designer. I changed our whole life to live this dream. We moved to London, I did my Diploma and we then decided to stay in UK ( Yes, I know, what you are thinking- in Brexit times- crazy, isn’t it?) Hang on a minute- this will take hours to bring everything together!
You know, what? I will write blog posts about my life steps and what I have learnt during these periods. That’s maybe the best way to get everything sorted and to honour every period/ lesson of my life. What do you think?
